I'm on a massive grey and dull colours kick. All things to do with Joy Division are hideously inspiring. Minimal layers, minimal colour, grit, grime and a lot of straight edges.

Marni is rocking out concrete and suchlike shades of grey, and it is fabulous!

Lone birds are ominous. This one is watching you.

There's a lot of grey in Scotland. The sky is all kinds of grey! Concrete is romantic.

Negative Shapes.
It's not new or anything, but I totally love the cover of Ok Cowboy by Vitalic. And I was just thinking maybe all these pictures I've taken.... were subliminally influenced by it? It's sort of dark. It feels a bit Hitchcock-y. Yum.

Third Observation.

SINGED BAKED BEANS.

The sort of colour which is reserved for Halloween pumpkin outfits and nothing else much, is now BURNT ORANGE, the best colour ever.
Teamed with a musty grey and flashes of emerald: beaut.

And of course for good measure: Three great colour associations involving burnt orange:

1) Fireworks

2) Cocktails in a darkened bar

3) Sunset.
